## Description

The Minnesota Scottish Fair & Highland Games is a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating the public and celebrating Scottish culture and heritage. Its annual festival brings together traditional athletic competitions, music, dance, history, food, and family activities. The 2027 event is scheduled for July 17.

Visitors can watch athletes compete in Scottish heavy games, including the caber toss, stone put, sheaf toss, and hammer throw, and enjoy Highland Dance performances and the stirring sounds of pipes and drums. Celtic music adds lively melodies and ballads throughout the festival. Clan Row and exhibitor displays feature Scottish clans, country dancers, Celtic canines, British cars, and historical reenactors, while workshops and demonstrations offer opportunities to explore cultural traditions.

The Scottish Marketplace features Celtic treasures, tartan, crafts, and food from vendors. Children can take part in arts and crafts, games, music, storytelling, and family-friendly demonstrations. The organization also invites community involvement through volunteering, donations, and sponsorships. Its website provides event information, schedules and maps, FAQs, and ways to get involved.
