Minnesota South District is a part of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS) and is dedicated to fulfilling the mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ. With a total of 232 churches, the district serves both urban and rural communities, engaging in impactful Word and Sacrament ministry. Additionally, the district is home to 113 Lutheran schools and early childhood centers that provide quality education and nurture the hearts and minds of their students.

Committed to its mission and initiatives, the district aims to cultivate leaders who are intentionally engaged in the mission of God. They promise to equip, support, and encourage individuals in their ministries, fostering a relationship built on mutual trust and Christian love. The district actively promotes wellness resources and leadership training for church workers and lay leadership, actively recruits servant leaders, and encourages mission and ministry partnerships in every circuit.
