- **Primary alias:** `mnsoilfertility.com`

## Description

AFREC supports farmers and agricultural research by funding studies focused on soil fertility. Its mission is to improve understanding of how soil fertility can be maintained and managed, and to share data-driven insights that inform nutrient management. The organization makes research reports available through its website, organized by growing season, crop, and topic, so users can explore findings relevant to their interests and needs.

Research topics include nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, sulfur, micronutrients, soil health and water quality, irrigation, drainage, manure, biologicals, precision agriculture, and on-farm research. Reports cover crops such as alfalfa, dry edible beans, field corn, potatoes, soybeans, sugarbeets, sweet corn, and wheat. AFREC also provides information about current projects, grants, resources, and ways to apply for funding, helping researchers seek support for soil fertility work.

The organization connects its research to the four principles of nutrient management: applying the right rate, at the right time, from the right source, and in the right place. Its resources are intended to help farmers and others make informed fertility decisions.
