## Description

PrepDSpace4Mobility is a European coordination and support project preparing the foundations for a common mobility data space. Its 12-month initiative brings together experts from the private and public mobility sectors, with experience in mobility, economics and digital technologies. The project aims to enable mobility data to be pooled and shared securely across Europe while supporting trust, interoperability and data sovereignty.

Its work focuses on mapping existing data ecosystems in mobility and logistics, cataloguing relevant initiatives and assessing the types and quality of available data. The team also examines gaps and overlaps among public, private and industrial data-sharing efforts. Based on this analysis, PrepDSpace4Mobility identifies approaches to secure data exchange, proposes shared building blocks and governance frameworks, and seeks alignment with the European Data Spaces Technical Framework.

Rather than offering commercial mobility products, the project provides research, coordination and resources to support stakeholders developing data-sharing systems. Its findings are intended to inform future deployment of a single market for mobility data and encourage cooperation across Europe.
