## Description

MoCoRunning is a dedicated platform for runners, primarily focusing on the high school running scene in Maryland. Founded by Kevin Milsted, a 2003 graduate of Gaithersburg High School, the website began as a personal project driven by a passion for local running events and community engagement. Launched in December 2005 and crafted entirely from scratch, MoCoRunning offers a straightforward and grassroots aesthetic that emphasizes accessibility and ease of use.

The website features a wealth of resources, including XC rankings, statistics, school histories, and original articles that showcase the vibrant running community in the region. While it operates independently without any affiliations to schools or governing bodies, the site thrives on contributions from Kevin and a team of dedicated volunteer contributors. MoCoRunning serves as a valuable hub for athletes, coaches, and enthusiasts seeking to stay informed and connected within Maryland’s running landscape.
