## Description

The Israel Ministry of Defense is the government body responsible for supporting Israel’s national defense and managing key parts of the country’s defense system. Its work spans defense procurement, military infrastructure, technology development, export oversight, logistics, budgeting, and international security cooperation. The ministry coordinates with the Israel Defense Forces and works with Israeli and international companies to acquire equipment and develop capabilities, including advanced artillery, aircraft, naval vessels, and training facilities.

Its departments and affiliated authorities also address emergency preparedness, border and crossing management, mine and unexploded-ordnance clearance, defense-related research and development, and economic measures against terrorism. The ministry provides services and support for discharged soldiers and reservists, bereaved families, and people seeking rehabilitation, while preserving remembrance and heritage. It also oversees defense exports and supports security-related industry and technological innovation. Through public announcements, news, videos, and contact channels, the ministry shares updates on its activities, leadership, programs, and major agreements with the public.
