The Academy of Model Aeronautics (AMA) is a nonprofit organization that brings together enthusiasts to celebrate model aviation. As passionate hobbyists, we dream, design, build, and fly model aircraft of all sizes for both fun and competition. Our goal is to foster community and promote the growth of our hobby. We have a wide network of clubs across the nation that provide flying fields, mutual learning opportunities, and a safe and enjoyable environment for model aviation activities. Safety is our top priority, and we advocate for the responsible enjoyment of model aviation every day. AMA is recognized by the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI) through our association with the National Aeronautic Association, giving us the authority to direct U.S. With our motto Your Passion - Your Hobby - One Community, we strive to make modeling the foremost sport/hobby in the world.
