## Description

ModelTrends.ai is a discovery and tracking platform for open AI models, helping users explore what is popular and changing across image, video, text, coding, music, and speech. Its rankings highlight trending models, rising and falling activity, popular model families, and leading creators. Visitors can browse base models, LoRAs, embeddings, and large language models by family, type, popularity, and tags, with dedicated charts and creator listings to support exploration.

The site also publishes practical guides covering model selection, local AI setup, ComfyUI, LoRAs, open-source licensing, and running language models on personal systems. Featured listings include image-generation models and customizations, video-model LoRAs, and open-weight text and coding models. Additional resources include model-related news by email, API information, RSS feeds, a changelog, and upload options. ModelTrends.ai presents itself as a broad reference for following developments in the open-model ecosystem, combining searchable discovery with trend data and educational content for people comparing models or learning how to use them.
