Modern Empathy is a brand dedicated to promoting independent and healthy living for families in the comfort of their own homes. While our normal operations are currently suspended due to disruptions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, we remain passionate about supporting the Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) movement worldwide. Our vision is to enable families to sustain independent lifestyles, and we take pride in the outcomes we have achieved thus far.

Although operations are temporarily halted, our Pico Units are still available through external partners, such as the San Jose pre-approval program. These Pico Units offer studio-style living with one bathroom and 300 square feet of space. Most homeowners qualify for streamlined permitting under the new California ADU laws.
