Medical Outreach Ministries (M.O.M.) is a faith-based nonprofit providing free healthcare to uninsured and medically underserved people in Montgomery, Autauga, Elmore, and Lowndes counties in Alabama. Founded in 1993, the organization aims to address patients’ physical, emotional, and spiritual needs while improving access to care for community members who may otherwise rely on emergency departments for basic medical attention.

M.O.M.’s services include primary and specialty care, medications, mental health counseling, physical therapy, and diabetes self-management education. People aged 19 to 64 who have no health insurance can complete an eligibility quiz and apply to become patients. The organization also offers patient forms and resources for medication refills and other care-related requests.

In 2025, M.O.M. served 881 patients through 8,962 patient encounters, with support from more than 80 volunteers, including 13 physicians. It welcomes medical and non-medical volunteers, offers internships where students work alongside experienced healthcare providers, and relies on donations to fund free care. Based in Montgomery, M.O.M. serves its community through healthcare programs, outreach, and opportunities to get involved.
