## Description

Moments In Stone is a Tucson-based brand creating scientifically accurate fossil art inspired by real specimens from Wyoming’s Green River Formation. Its collection features 28 original fossil sticker designs, each based on an actual fossil rather than a cast, reconstruction, or reference photograph. The artwork is made by placing archival mylar over the specimen and hand-tracing visible bones with archival India ink, using a method associated with scientific paleontological illustration. The tracings are then digitized, colorized, and printed as waterproof, UV-resistant die-cut vinyl stickers. Each design identifies the species, geological formation, and age, bringing details of ancient life into an accessible format for science enthusiasts and educational retailers. Some designs tell distinctive fossil stories, including a rare example of two fish preserved during an attempted meal. Moments In Stone products have been available at Fossil Butte National Monument since 2019. The brand also serves museum shops, science centers, national parks, botanical gardens, and other retailers through a wholesale program with retail-ready packaging and tiered pricing.
