Moneta Gardens is a brand dedicated to improving the quality of life for the residents of Moneta Gardens and Hawthorne, while providing educational opportunities for the youth. Since 1999, Moneta Gardens Improvement Inc. (MGI) has been successfully working towards these goals.

They have opened two Health and Dignity Centers, one at Zela Davis Elementary School and another at York Elementary School, offering a wide range of physical, social, and emotional health resources for youth, seniors, and low-income families. These centers also provide case management services and community advocacy on various important issues like social security benefits, health insurance, disability benefits, housing, immigration, child support, and parenting education. The president and Executive Director of MGI, Alexandre Monteiro, has over 20 years of experience working with underprivileged children and families, ensuring they receive adequate physical and mental health services and support structures.
