Institute for the Study of Mongolian Dinosaurs

The Institute for the Study of Mongolian Dinosaurs is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing paleontology in Mongolia. Founded in 2007 by paleontologist Bolortsetseg Minjin, and established as a registered US nonprofit in 2016, the Institute's mission focuses on enhancing geoscience education, preserving Mongolia's fossil heritage, and nurturing future generations of paleontologists. They offer a range of educational initiatives, including the Young Scientists Program aimed at inspiring middle and high school students to pursue careers in science, and a Teacher Professional Development Program designed to enhance educators’ expertise in paleontology.

The Institute also manages the Flaming Cliffs Museum and organizes dinosaur workshops and fossil repatriation projects. Their commitment to education is reflected in the provision of training, resources, and outreach programs that connect students and teachers with the wonders of Mongolia's diverse prehistoric life. Engaging with various platforms such as social media, the Institute facilitates a broader appreciation for paleontological research and conservation efforts within and beyond Mongolia
