## Description

Monika Blanka Katterwe is an artist and artistic-scientific photographer whose work explores the nature and distinctive properties of light. Working in this field since 2016, she combines observations of nature, practical experiments, and the study of scientific literature to create photographic works and photo paintings. Her interdisciplinary approach brings scientific ideas into visual art, extending photography into painterly and conceptual territory.

Katterwe’s projects include “Ballet Between Dimensions,” “Theory of Space Structure,” “The Fluid Energy of Life,” and “Mathematical Breakdance.” Across these bodies of work, she investigates themes that connect light, nature, and scientific thinking. Her practice also draws on interdisciplinary project experience and access to the library of the Astrophysical Institute in Potsdam for research on specific topics.

Katterwe presents her work through projects, exhibitions, and collaborations with scientists, galleries, medical professionals, and museums. Her website features information about the artist and her work, a blog, contact details, and a link to an online shop. Visitors can also subscribe to her newsletter for updates about new projects, exhibitions, and publications.
