## Description

The Monsanto Tribunal is an international initiative aimed at holding the agrochemical giant Monsanto accountable for its impact on health, biodiversity, and environmental sustainability. Founded by a diverse coalition of experts, including environmental activists, legal scholars, and scientists, the Tribunal facilitates rigorous discussions on the ethical implications of genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and pesticides. It seeks to empower communities affected by Monsanto's practices through advocacy and education. Key figures associated with the Tribunal include renowned environmentalist Vandana Shiva and award-winning journalist Marie-Monique Robin, known for her investigative work on Monsanto's influence. The Tribunal has also garnered support from a wide range of professionals devoted to sustainable agriculture and food security, including lawyers and activists like Ronnie Cummins and André Leu. Through public hearings, research, and international collaboration, the Monsanto Tribunal aims to mobilize global awareness and action against perceived injustices caused by large agribusiness entities, promoting transparency and ecological responsibility in food systems worldwide.
