## Description

Yut Hung Kung Fu Academy, operating as Moonbear Kung Fu Academy, teaches Chinese martial arts in Canberra, Australia. Founded in 2004 by instructor Dr Wilson Lo, the academy offers practical, family-oriented training for children, teenagers and adults, with an emphasis on self-defence, confidence, respect and community. Prospective students can attend a class free of charge.

The academy’s programs include Moonbear Kung Fu for children and young people, and UC Stars Kung Fu for adults, which is open to University of Canberra students and other community members. Moonbear Cubs introduces children aged four to nine to lion dance through dedicated Sunday classes. Training also incorporates Chinese dragon and lion dance, along with traditional percussion.

Canberra Dragon Dance is the academy’s performance arm, offering dragon and lion dance appearances, blessings, performances and workshops for occasions such as business celebrations, birthdays, weddings and festivals. The group received the ACT Multicultural Award for Multicultural Arts, Media or Culture in 2025.
