## Description

The Morris Family Foundation is a nonprofit public benefit organization established in 1997 by brothers LaRue and Earl Morris. Founded to honor the family’s hard work and help others, the Foundation focuses on expanding access to career and technical education and employment skills in Jackson County, Oregon. Its aim is to help young people and adults prepare for family-wage jobs in Southern Oregon, with particular attention to students in rural communities.

The Foundation provides scholarships, paid apprenticeships, books and other study materials, work-study opportunities, and financial aid for eligible high school and Rogue Community College students pursuing technical or vocational education. It also supports vocational programs at approved high schools and Rogue Community College through funding for equipment, learning materials, staff, and facilities. Beyond education, the Foundation may assist qualified organizations serving orphans, disaster victims, people with life-threatening injuries or illnesses, and others in need of humanitarian aid. Its grants and distributions are directed to specified Jackson County school districts, Rogue Community College, and eligible government or tax-exempt organizations.
