# Morrowsacademy - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `morrowsacademy.com` ## Description Morrow’s Academy of Martial Arts is a family-oriented martial arts school in downtown Moline, Illinois, offering training in kung fu, kickboxing, fitness, and self-defense. Founded by John Alvin Morrow, the academy opened in 1978 and developed a distinctive, modernized style rooted in Shao-Lin Chuan Kung Fu. Following Master Morrow’s death in 2025, the school’s tradition continues with Chief Instructor and Owner Sifu Chris Lee Atwater, alongside instructors Sifu Jeremy Senns and Sifu Antwyn Madison. The academy teaches techniques inspired by kung fu’s five animals: Leopard, Snake, Dragon, Tiger, and Crane. Students practice blocks, punches, kicks, sweeps, throws, joint locks, and weapons defenses. Programs serve children, teens, and adults, with classes including Tiger Tots for ages four to nine, Dragons for ages ten to thirteen, family training, adult and teen sessions, and K-1 kickboxing and cardio. The school also offers wheelchair self-defense for Disabled American Warriors, an adult and teen weekend class, and open gym time.
