## Description

The Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Slovenia is a government institution responsible for the country’s defence system and its system for protection against natural and other disasters. Its work connects national defence with public safety, emergency preparedness and response. Through the Slovenian Armed Forces and the Administration for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief, the ministry provides information about military and civil-protection activities, services and career opportunities. Its public website also shares news, official announcements, events, legislation and information about ministry leadership and operations.

The ministry supports public understanding of defence and security through initiatives such as the “Safety for All” project and the “Become a Soldier” recruitment platform. It publishes the monthly Slovenian Armed Forces magazine and provides information on European Defence Fund technology and industry calls, as well as Slovenia’s defence expenditure. The ministry also participates in international engagement and promotes remembrance of those who lost their lives in conflict.
