The brand's story began with Ian Parkin-Coates, a professional motorcycle racer who struggled to find a race transport that met his needs. In response, he decided to build his own transporter, which quickly garnered a lot of interest. This led to the birth of Motorcraft.

Even after retiring from racing, Ian continued building live-in vehicles. In 2012, Motorcraft won a major contract to deliver twelve all-terrain vehicles to Iceland, sparking their passion for constructing robust all-terrain live-in vehicles and special-purpose vehicles.
