Mountain Lake Services is a brand committed to partnering with individuals of all abilities to help them live their best lives. As the chapter of The Arc New York in Essex County, it has a rich history of evolution and expansion since its establishment in 1967. Concerned with the lack of support for people with disabilities, a group of 15 North Country citizens formed a committee, leading to the opening of Essex Industries and local group homes in 1974. Since then, Mountain Lake Services has prioritized inclusion, independence, and success, offering a wide range of programs and services. These include residential habilitation services, employment services, home-based supports and services, cornerstone program, guardianship services, fiscal intermediary services, and day services. Additionally, they have an Article 16 clinic. Mountain Lake Services values and appreciates the unique contributions of each person, prioritizes personal and corporate wellness, and builds teams through integrity, transparency, kindness, and empathy. They inspire personal growth through work, training, education, and experiences, while creating meaningful connections every day.
