About
Description
Mount Hope Christian Church, formerly known as The Assemblies of God Christian Center, was founded in October 1978 by Pastor Harvey and Jean Meppelink. Starting at the Masonic Temple near Lexington Battle Green, the church later moved to various locations in Lexington, including the Grey Nuns Provincial House and the Monroe School. In September 1985, the church and the Christian Center Elementary School found a new home in the renovated Meadowbrook School in Burlington, MA.
In February 1992, Pastor Robert and Pamela Crosby took over as the senior pastors. The church received its new name, Mount Hope Christian Center, in the year 2000. In January 2007, Pastor Rick Picariello became the senior pastor, bringing his years of experience as an associate pastor at Mount Hope.
In October 2013, the Family Life Center was completed, providing a versatile space for church and school events. In September 2015, a second campus was launched in Belmont, led by Pastor Brian Krogh. With a strong focus on community, worship services are held at various times throughout the week, both in-person and online
