## Description

Moving Medicine is a UK initiative that helps healthcare professionals integrate physical activity into routine clinical care. Developed by the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine UK in partnership with Sport England and the Office for Health Improvement and Disparities, it provides evidence-based resources for discussing activity with people who have health conditions.

Its consultation guides support conversations of different lengths, from a focused one-minute message to a more detailed discussion that can explore barriers, set goals and build a personalised plan. The site also offers Active Conversations, an online course on motivational interviewing in the context of physical activity. Its Foundations Course carries six CPD points, while the Full Course carries 16 CPD points.

Other resources include an evidence finder, patient information, and a finder for local activities and support. The Active Hospitals toolkit helps healthcare professionals develop a stronger culture of physical activity within hospital settings. Moving Medicine also shares case studies, learning materials, news and guidance for initiatives across the UK, giving clinicians practical tools to encourage patients to move more in ways suited to their needs.
