About
Description
The Wildlife Rescue Center in Ballwin, MO is a non-profit, professional wildlife rehabilitation facility that has been in operation since 1979. Over the years, they have treated more than 80,000 native wild patients, providing care and support for injured, sick, and orphaned wildlife. With a 9,000 square-foot facility and expansive outdoor enclosures, they are able to treat over 3,000 patients each year.
Their dedicated staff and volunteers work tirelessly to repair and support the healing of each animal, with the ultimate goal of releasing healthy animals back into their natural habitat. They also prioritize educational outreach, using their platform to raise environmental awareness, promote a harmonious relationship with native wildlife, and encourage the community to protect delicate ecosystems. Situated on 12 acres of beautiful, natural Missouri land adjacent to Castlewood State Park, the center is home to a variety of habitats.
Their educational programming reaches thousands of children and adults annually, introducing them to the incredible biodiversity that surrounds us and fostering respect for all wildlife. The Wildlife Rescue Center relies heavily on volunteers, as they make up the majority of their workforce. Without the dedication of these passionate individuals, the center would not be able to fulfill its mission
