## Description

The World Moyamoya Alliance is a United States-based medical 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by moyamoya disease. Guided by education, collaboration, and community support, the organization works to raise awareness among the public, medical professionals, and educators, helping more people understand the condition and recognize when action may be needed. It also collaborates with moyamoya specialists to help reduce stroke risks and deaths, and supports international research into the disease.

The Alliance connects patients and families with medical and community resources so they can make informed decisions and find appropriate support. Its educational materials cover topics including moyamoya, living with the condition, treatments, and care for children. The organization also aims to bring people together through online and in-person social and educational events, creating opportunities to learn and connect with others who share similar experiences. Through these initiatives, the World Moyamoya Alliance seeks to ensure that patients and families feel supported rather than isolated on their moyamoya journey.
