## Description

Mozilla is a global community dedicated to promoting a free and open internet for everyone, emphasizing user privacy and accessible digital knowledge. While best known for its acclaimed web browser, Firefox, Mozilla encompasses a wide range of activities driven by its U.S.-based foundation. This includes engineering, web standards advocacy, and internet activism, all supported by approximately 900 employees and thousands of volunteers sharing a common vision for the future of the web.

The Francophone Mozilla community plays a significant role, engaging in diverse activities such as translating Mozilla's software and websites, developing applications, providing user assistance, and advocating for internet policy reform. They invite individuals passionate about creating a just and engaging web to join them in their mission. Potential participants can learn more about Mozilla’s principles by reading the Mozilla Manifesto or by exploring the various ongoing projects listed on their participation page. Together, they aim to empower users to be active creators rather than just passive consumers on the internet.
