The Minneapolis Area Synod of the ELCA is a brand dedicated to providing support and guidance to member churches, as well as their rostered and lay leadership. Together with these churches, the Synod aims to discern and follow God's will in order to nurture, serve, and uplift individuals in their congregations, communities, region, and worldwide. Led by Bishop Ann Svennungsen, the first woman elected as a bishop in any of Minnesota's six ELCA synods, the Synod is committed to fostering a sense of community and sharing resources to further the mission of the church.
