## Description

MPS Danmark is a Danish patient association for people affected by mucopolysaccharidosis (MPS) and their families. Founded in 2015 by parents seeking greater connection and peer support, the association aims to bring people together to share experiences, advice and information, and to represent the MPS community collectively. It currently represents families affected by MPS I, II, IV and VI, while welcoming interest from people connected to other MPS types and related conditions.

MPS refers to a group of inherited metabolic disorders caused by a deficiency of enzymes that break down certain substances in the body. The association provides information about MPS and its different types, including Hurler, Hunter, Sanfilippo, Morquio, Maroteaux-Lamy, Sly and MPS IX. It also encourages people with MPS and their relatives to join or make contact, whether or not they wish to take an active role. MPS Danmark has participated in activities involving MPS Europe and Sjældne Diagnoser, and invites supporters to contribute through donations.
