## Description

MRJ Farriers is a professional farriery service based in Swansea, covering the city and the Gower. Led by Michael Rhys Jones DipWCF, the business provides hoof care for horses across all equine disciplines, from happy hackers to Olympic hopefuls. Its services include horseshoeing, trimming, barefoot care, stud work and remedial farriery, with an approach intended to address horses’ current needs and support their future wellbeing.

Michael qualified as a farrier in 2004 after completing a five-year apprenticeship in Bedfordshire. He later worked with leading racehorse trainers in Lambourn and served as Sergeant Farrier to the Royal Household, caring for the Queen’s horses at Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and Hampton Court. His experience also includes providing farriery services in Surrey and working with veterinary practices on complex equine conditions and injuries. A Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust Scholar, Michael has also represented Wales in polo and developed The Farriers App. MRJ Farriers serves horse owners and equestrian establishments from its Swansea base.
