## Description

M. Simone Boyd is a novelist, neighborhood organizer, speaker, and community advocate whose work focuses on helping neighborhoods build influence, secure resources, and shape their futures. Through Boyd Creative Research, LLC, she offers speaking, meeting facilitation, coaching, media, and collaboration services. Her approach connects neighbors, helps groups navigate conflict, and supports them in persuading administrators to act on community priorities.

Boyd draws on practical experience in North Nashville, where her advocacy has helped bring infrastructure investments and direct payments to residents after decades of neglect. Her community work has included public-space improvements, bike rides, Open Streets Nashville, clean-up days, and art initiatives such as Art Against Violence. She also shares guidance through her free e-book, How to Hack Your City Budget, which offers tips based on her neighborhood advocacy experience.

As the author of the novel The Day Sonny Died, Boyd uses storytelling to encourage hope and preserve community perspectives.
