The Dominican Sisters of Mission San Jose, also known as the Congregation of the Queen of the Holy Rosary, are committed to living and proclaiming the teachings of Jesus Christ. They carry out their mission through evangelizing, preaching, educating, and promoting justice and peace. Inspired by the spirit of St.

Dominic and their foundress, Mother Maria Pia Backes, the sisters dedicate their lives to prayer, study, ministry, and community living. Their focus is on serving the young, the poor, and the vulnerable. Currently active in Arizona, California, and Mexico, their ministries include education, pastoral work, social service and healthcare, restorative justice, media justice, peace, and care of creation.
