## Description

Mycological Society of San Francisco (MSSF) is a renowned brand formed in 1950 with the core objective of promoting education and scientific knowledge about mycology among its members and the wider public. As one of the largest amateur mushroom societies in the United States, MSSF offers a range of products and services to its dedicated community. MSSF hosts monthly meetings featuring esteemed mycologists and guest speakers from across the globe. The society publishes the Mycena News, a newsletter that encompasses field reports, mycological articles, and delectable recipes. Additionally, MSSF organizes various classes, including mushroom identification, cultivation, photography, and workshops on specific fungal genera. Members can also partake in fascinating forays led by experienced mycologists to explore and collect mushrooms in their natural habitat during the optimal season. MSSF's flagship event, the Fungus Fair, is an eagerly anticipated annual affair. This event brings together experts, educational exhibits, and vendors, providing a unique opportunity for the public to engage with mycological matters. Membership with MSSF offers an array of benefits, such as access to the Mycena News, participation in the MSSF discussion group, and utilization of the MSSF library.
