## Description

Michigan State University Press is the scholarly publishing arm of Michigan State University, based in East Lansing, Michigan. It publishes books and journals for readers, researchers, educators, and libraries, with a catalog spanning subjects and formats. Its titles include work on Michigan’s history, communities, and culture, alongside books that explore broader social and academic topics. Recent featured publications address National Geographic’s engagement with social justice rhetoric, the history and character of Flint and surrounding Michigan communities, and the experiences of migrant families in the state’s sugar beet industry.

The Press supports both established and prospective authors through submission guidance, acquisitions editors, and resources for revising dissertations. It also provides information on permissions, copyright, accessibility, and book and journal ordering. Readers can browse new releases, bestsellers, forthcoming titles, series, imprints, and journals, while libraries and booksellers can access relevant ordering and subscription information. Through its publishing program, MSU Press connects scholarship and storytelling with readers and institutions, and shares news about its publications, events, and conference participation.
