## Description

M. T. Anderson is an award-winning author of fiction and nonfiction for readers of all ages. His varied body of work includes stories for adults, picture books for children, adventure novels for young readers, graphic novel adaptations of ancient French tales, and books for teens and adults. Recognised with honours including the National Book Award, a Newbery Honor, and the Los Angeles Times Book Prize, Anderson is known for writing that critics have described as smart, fierce, imaginative, humorous, and sweeping.

His books range across genres and subjects, blending historical storytelling, satire, adventure, and imaginative fiction. Stealing Saint Nick is a nonfiction narrative for teens and adults about rival groups attempting to steal the body of St. Nicholas from his tomb in Turkey, connecting accounts of the saint’s miracles with the real historical theft. His children’s book Elf Dog & Owl Head, illustrated in black and white by Junyi Wu, follows a boy and his dog through a world of hidden forest wonders and received a Newbery Honor.
