## Description

Mountaineer Boxing Academy is a family-friendly gym and fighter-focused training center in Morgantown, West Virginia. Its programs welcome people of different ages, abilities, and experience levels, from beginners seeking fitness to athletes preparing for competition. The academy offers group classes in boxing, kickboxing, and fitness, alongside self-defense instruction and training that includes MMA. Youth and adult options are available, with group classes open to ages 11 and up.

Members can also book one-on-one or small-group coaching tailored to goals such as boxing, kickboxing, self-defense, strength, agility, and sport-specific cross-training. Competition team practices include live-contact drills and intensive conditioning; coach approval and prior preparation are required for participants without contact experience. Open gym sessions provide additional training time, with some age and supervision guidelines. The academy also runs Punching Out Parkinson’s, a boxing and fitness class incorporating memory and balance exercises. Training takes place in a safe, positive atmosphere and aims to support physical fitness, focus, coordination, stress management, and overall well-being.
