## Description

Miyamoto Musashi Hagenow e.V. is a karate club in Hagenow, Germany, teaching traditional Shotokan karate since 1990. The club is affiliated with the Shotokan Karate Verband Deutschland and the Japan Shotokan Karate Association. Its training is guided by the principles of karate as a path for developing both body and mind, emphasizing respect, courtesy, discipline, self-control, and enjoyment of movement alongside technical progress and competition preparation.

Classes cover the three core areas of karate: kihon, or foundational techniques; kata, structured sequences of movements; and kumite, partner practice and controlled sparring. Training is generally non-contact, with an emphasis on reducing injury risk and fostering a welcoming, respectful community. The club welcomes children, teenagers, and adults, including beginners and returning practitioners, and places particular importance on inclusion. Some trainers have experience in social and special-needs education and basic German Sign Language skills.

Alongside regular club training, members can attend seminars and competitions, with options ranging from recreational practice to focused competition preparation.
