## Description

Museum House Consulting is an independent bus, coach and public transport consultancy founded in 2025 by Douglas Robertson. Drawing on more than 30 years of experience across passenger transport, local government and senior industry leadership, the firm advises operators, local authorities and other organisations across the UK and Ireland. Its work spans city, urban, rural and interurban bus services, as well as contracted and school transport, airport and express coaches, and event transport.

The consultancy offers practical support with network design, timetables, operations and performance, fleet and organisational planning, fares and ticketing, tendering, franchising and partnerships. It also assists with customer experience, passenger information and marketing, management support, training and special projects. Services can include operational and commercial reviews, bid support, mobilisation and transition planning, and interim or project expertise.

Museum House Consulting combines strategic advice with hands-on operational understanding, tailoring assignments to each client’s needs. Its recent work includes supporting a local authority preparing to take responsibility for a bus operation and reviewing urban bus and coach services.
