## Description

The Museum of Croydon is a local museum dedicated to sharing the stories of Croydon’s people, past and present. Based at the Croydon Clocktower on Katharine Street, it invites visitors to explore the borough’s history through free visits, exhibitions, events, archives and collections. The museum presents special exhibitions, including displays on Croydon’s architecture and local creativity, and offers opportunities to discover more through its learning programme, blogs and collection resources.

Its public programme brings people together through talks, art activities, book groups and practical workshops. Events include Dementia, Art & Joy, Crafting Croydon, an art book club and introductions to bobbin lacemaking with the Croydon Lacemakers. The museum also explores local heritage through talks on subjects such as historic pubs. Alongside its exhibitions and events, the Museum of Croydon supports learning and engagement for young people and offers activities related to dementia, art and wellbeing. The museum is open Wednesdays to Saturdays, with further information available through its website, newsletter and visitor services.
