# Museum of Health Care - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `museumofhealthcare.ca` ## Description The Canadian Museum of Health Care is an independent, non-profit museum and registered charity dedicated to preserving and sharing Canada’s health care history. Founded in 1991, it is based in Kingston, Ontario, in the historic Ann Baillie Building, a former nursing students’ residence built in 1904. Its collection of approximately 35,000 artifacts—the largest medical collection in Canada—includes objects such as surgical tools and laboratory instruments, documenting health care from the 1750s to the present. Through permanent and temporary exhibits, the museum explores the experiences of patients and caregivers and the evolution of medical practice. Visitors can discover exhibitions such as A Fantastical Medical Bestiary, which examines connections between animals and healing traditions. The museum also offers guided tours and educational activities for learners of all ages, including onsite, community and virtual programs. Special events, an annual symposium, and hands-on camps for children provide further opportunities to engage with health, science and history. The museum supports research through its collections, fellowship opportunities and image requests, and welcomes visitors, members and donors. ## Industries - 🧪 Science and Education - 🧪 Libraries and Museums _(under Science and Education)_ ## Links - [instagram](https://instagram.com/museumofhealth) - [linkedin](https://linkedin.com/company/museum-of-health-care-at-kingston) - [facebook](https://facebook.com/MuseumofHealthCare) ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idK-G269YI/w/1500/h/412/theme/dark/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1790569456478) - icon _(primary)_ — JPEG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idK-G269YI/w/1181/h/1181/theme/dark/icon.jpeg?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1790569456938) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Claret | #8d193e | accent | | Port Gore | #18193d | dark | | Cream Brulee | #ffe3a5 | light | ## Fonts - Familjen Grotesk — asset _(google)_ - Familjen Grotesk — asset _(google)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
