## Description

The Musk Ox Farm is a nonprofit organization in Palmer, Alaska, dedicated to gentle musk ox husbandry, qiviut production, and public education. Celebrating 40 years in Palmer, the farm aims both to share knowledge about musk oxen and to inspire enthusiasm for these distinctive animals. Its work includes producing qiviut, the soft fiber associated with musk oxen, and caring for a herd that visitors can learn about through educational experiences.

The farm welcomes the public with guided tours, group visits, field trips, and virtual tours, as well as opportunities to book special experiences. Visitors can explore information about musk oxen, the herd, farm accessibility, and what to wear before planning a visit. The organization also hosts events throughout the year, including Oxtoberfest, a farm-to-table Bavarian celebration, and other activities such as Music with Musk Ox and Running with the Bulls.

People can support the herd through donations, membership in Friends of the Musk Ox, seasonal campaigns, and other ways to get involved.
