## Description

MutualRise Society is a voluntary, non-profit, non-political and non-religious association in Cameroon, established under the country’s Law No. 90/053 of 19 December 1990. Guided by unity, transparency, accountability and mutual support, it aims to strengthen members’ financial stability, personal growth and social well-being while contributing to community development. The Society is governed by its members through a General Assembly, which elects officers, approves programmes and budgets, and oversees accountability.

Its work spans six areas: financial empowerment, welfare and mutual assistance, education, humanitarian service, health, and public awareness. Activities include savings support, financial literacy, business and loan support, emergency and bereavement assistance, scholarships, mentorship, skills training, relief, volunteer service, medical campaigns, workshops and community outreach. Programme benefits, including loans, scholarships and welfare support, are subject to rules approved by the General Assembly rather than guaranteed entitlements.

Membership is open to people who accept the Society’s aims, meet its registration requirements and agree to its constitution. MutualRise Society promotes collective effort as a practical way to help members and communities thrive.
