## Description

Its BV score expresses that value in dollars, helping users compare a link’s potential benefit with a publisher’s asking price. The service does not sell links, and sites do not pay to be listed or valued.

A report can show a site’s BV score and the estimated value of different link types, alongside backlink counts, nofollow share, average spam score, referring IP addresses and subnets, and link placement information. It also provides details on how the site links out, its traffic, server, network and age, with sources and dates for reported figures. Backlink counts come from a third-party index and are refreshed monthly.

mxverify calculates value using site strength, link type and relevance. It distinguishes editorial citations, sponsored or guest links, neutralised links such as nofollow placements, and links from owner-controlled networks.
