# myfrenchfam.com - **Website:** - **Primary alias:** `myfrenchfam.com` ## Description Shadows of My French & Belgian Ancestors is a personal genealogy website maintained by Laura Edwards, documenting her family’s French and Belgian roots. What began as a daughter’s curiosity about her French grandmother grew into more than 25 years of research, tracing family branches back to the early 1600s. The site focuses especially on the Nicolle and Morenier families, sharing biographies and stories about ancestors whose lives spanned France, Belgium, Canada, and Michigan. Its pages explore family relationships, migration, military service, and the challenges faced by relatives, while preserving details for descendants and extended family. Visitors can search surnames, people, families, dates, cemeteries, places, and family trees, and browse photographs, videos, documents, headstones, recordings, sources, and other media. The site also provides research notes, repositories, DNA-test information, and contact options for sharing questions or additions. Alongside its family histories, Laura offers links to Making French Genealogy Easier, a tutorial resource, and Behind The Guillotine, which features searchable information about victims condemned to death during the French Revolution. ## Industries - 🎸 Hobbies and Leisure - 🎸 Ancestry and Genealogy _(under Hobbies and Leisure)_ ## Logos & icons - logo _(primary)_ — PNG — [download](https://cdn.brandfetch.io/idLtftsdpG/w/80/h/89/theme/light/logo.png?c=1bxid64Mup7aczewSAYMX&t=1791190075326) ## Colors | Name | Hex | Theme | | --- | --- | --- | | Marigold | #b78d2a | accent | | Black | #050505 | dark | | Apache | #dcbc6e | light | ## Fonts - Montserrat — asset _(google)_ - Quicksand — asset _(google)_ --- _Source: _ _See [/llms.txt](/llms.txt) for a full list of agent-readable pages, and [/auth.md](/auth.md) for how agents authenticate._
