HAAM provides access to affordable healthcare for low-income, working musicians in the greater Austin area. Many musicians in Austin are self-employed and lack access to health insurance or basic healthcare. Focusing on prevention and wellness, HAAM resolves challenges ranging from long-neglected dental work to hearing loss, heart problems, and depression. By improving and saving musicians' lives, HAAM enhances Austin's economy and quality of life. Since its establishment in 2005, HAAM has helped 6,700 musicians access over $144 million in healthcare services. Their services include routine dental work, doctor visits, prescriptions, psychiatric counseling, eye exams, specialist referrals, hearing screenings, basic needs assistance, and more.
