## Description

MyMarathon is an innovative initiative by the Heart Foundation of New Zealand that invites individuals and teams to tackle a personal fitness challenge while contributing to lifesaving heart disease research. Participants can walk or run a distance of 42.2 kilometers (or more) throughout May, choosing their own pace and location. This event not only promotes physical health but also encourages fundraising efforts to support vital heart research, aiming to enhance the well-being of Kiwis.

MyMarathon is ideal for community involvement, allowing users to gather friends, family, or colleagues to participate as a team or workplace challenge. With resources including fundraising tips and tracking tools, MyMarathon empowers participants to share their journeys and inspire donations through social media channels. Each contribution supports groundbreaking research efforts aimed at combating heart disease, making every step count. By registering for MyMarathon, individuals take part in a significant cause while striving for their personal health goals, all in the spirit of strengthening the community's heart health.
