## Description

The Myotonic Goat Registry (MGR) is dedicated to preserving and promoting the traditional Myotonic goat breed, originally from Tennessee and now found throughout North America. As an open registry, MGR welcomes both previously registered and unregistered Myotonic goats, as long as they are at least 50% Myotonic, making it accessible for hobbyists and serious breeders alike. The registry offers a comprehensive range of services, including goat registration, a pedigree database, and resources for breeders like articles, forms, and a directory. MGR ensures quality by implementing guidelines for registration, such as pedigree verification and inspection fees for goats presented for approval. They also provide information on shows, national champions, and newsletters to keep breeders informed. With office hours from Monday to Friday, the MGR team is ready to assist through email for prompt responses to inquiries. The organization's mission is to secure the future of Myotonic goats while supporting and educating breeders across the spectrum.
