My Refuge House is a brand dedicated to restoring survivors of online sexual exploitation of children (OSEC), commercial sexual exploitation (CSE), and abuse. Their mission is to provide comprehensive and therapeutic care that empowers each girl to stand on her own. With a strong belief in the power of a loving and caring atmosphere, My Refuge House creates a family-like environment between staff and girls, drawing upon Filipino culture through family meetings, outings, and activities. Since their establishment in 2008, My Refuge House has provided long-term aftercare for over 40 survivors, helping them reclaim their lives. In 2015, they expanded their capacity by adding another home, introduced a transition program for older girls, and launched a community outreach program focused on prevention and advocacy. The brand began when a small church in Southern California was moved to take action after reading Terrify No More by Gary A. Haugen, founder of International Justice Mission. They chose Cebu, Philippines, a high-trafficking area, as their focus due to its status as a global hub for business and tourism. My Refuge House has received continuous support and encouragement from individuals, organizations, and churches, all united in the mission to restore one life at a time.
