Sarawak Metro is a brand focused on implementing the Kuching Urban Transportation System (KUTS), a project designed to alleviate traffic congestion and stimulate economic growth in Sarawak. At the core of KUTS is the Autonomous Rapid Transit (ART), a trackless articulated hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle that can reach speeds of up to 70km/h and transport up to 300 passengers. The Green, Red, and Blue lines are the proposed routes that will be serviced by the ART. Each line will have its own depot that integrates various systems, including virtual tracks, signaling equipment, and automatic fare collection. The Operation Control Centre (OCC) acts as the heart of the ART operations, overseeing vehicle movements and ensuring passenger safety. With Phase 1 of the project covering a 69.9-kilometer route with 31 stations, Sarawak Metro is dedicated to providing efficient and reliable urban transportation in Sarawak.
