## Description

MySkateSpots.com is a skate and surf spot discovery platform created by Joakim Lundberg in 2015. Built initially to help plan a skateboarding road trip in Norway, it has grown into a community-supported map covering 1,545 spots across 31 countries, alongside an archive of events dating back to 1976. Visitors can explore skateparks, bowls, street spots, indoor halls, ditches, and selected surf breaks, with spot pages featuring details such as photos, surfaces, history, and associated events. The live map can recenter around a user’s location, helping skaters find places nearby or plan stops while travelling. Search tools help locate spots by name, city, surface, or tag, and the calendar lists competitions, jams, demonstrations, and other events with information about locations and travel distance. Users can contribute by adding or updating spots and sharing photos and condition details. The site also links to other spot directories and event calendars, and features skate videos through RatHouseTV playlists. Its coverage focuses on Sweden and the Nordic region, Central Europe, California, and destinations worldwide.
