## Description

Neighbor to Neighbor is a community-based elder support program serving Frazee, Vergas, and nearby townships in Minnesota. Established as a Living at Home Block Nurse Program, it was incorporated in 2002 to help older residents remain safely independent in their homes. Initially serving people aged 65 and older in Frazee and its surrounding area, the program has expanded to reach an average of 100 elders each month across its service area.

The organization offers practical assistance and opportunities for social connection. Services include Meals on Wheels, transportation, respite care, needs assessments, handyman help, and a foot care clinic provided by Essentia Health. Neighbor to Neighbor also provides health and exercise classes, social activities, and senior trips, with additional social and exercise programs offered through a partnership with the Detroit Lakes Community & Cultural Center. Its events and programs are designed to support seniors’ daily well-being and engagement. Based at 405 West Maple Avenue in Frazee, Neighbor to Neighbor welcomes volunteers and works toward its mission of helping community elders live safely and independently at home.
